Making County Government More Open, Accessible and Accountable:

• Minutes of Commission meetings and other important information are now available on-line.  (Go to www.morgancountywv.gov)
• Timely email updates from the Commission are available to any resident who signs up at www.morgancountywv.gov
• The Commission sets both long term and short term goals.  These are published at www.morgancountywv.gov

Reducing the Tax Burden on County Residents:

• The lowest levy rate in ten years was passed by this Commission.  By making the hard choices at budget time, the Commission has rolled back the tax rate.
• By switching insurance carriers, taxpayers will save $61,466.  This is a repeat saving, which will apply every year.
• Morgan County now operates under a Purchasing Card agreement with a 1% return on purchases.
• Saved 11% by switching the workers compensation insurance.

• Morgan County now has a full-time Child Protective Worker to help reduce the rate of abuse and neglect of our children.
• Revamped Community Service.
